Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Idk, but let me tell ya, the answer is NOT anyone from Chicago in the dead of winter. The dryness, the paleness, the redness... it's all just too much to bare. Is there any way around the reflection you see first thing in the morning these days you ask? Perhaps. I can't offer you a two week jaunt to St. Barth's, but I can share with you some of my fave products to ease the pain.
OILS AND LOTIONS
I like to layer an oil underneath my moisturizer during the winter, so I can avoid that not so cute stinging face sensation.
// 3Lab M Cream is AMAZING. I only know from samples, but if you want to splurge this is a good one // Sunday Riley Flora Face Oil is geared towards super dry skin and looks just gorgeous on my bathroom shelf // Egyptian Magic cream is super duper affordable and provides a serious glow. Love this stuff // Butter makes a well-priced oil that smells out of this world and easily absorbs into your skin. Definitely a lighter oil than the Flora //
// Fresh Rose Face Mask is both tightening and refreshing // Tracy Martyn Complexion Savior is self-described. Like a big drink of water for your thirsty winter skin AND this gal is Tory Burch's go to facialist. Bonus. // Amorepacific Moisture Bound Mask rejuvenates skin fast. Good one if you need to look real good, real quick // Honey Girl Rejuvenating Mask has a great price point and boasts collagen boosting properties. More collagen = less wrinkles.
